The Steel Horse Saloon & Grill is is gearing up for our grand opening Memorial Weekend and a busy, fun summer season. We are currently looking to fill the following positions.
Cook
Are you a passionate, dependable cook looking to bring your skills to a fast-paced kitchen with a strong team and great energy? The Steel Horse, Wascott’s newest bar & grill, is looking for a motivated Cook to add to our growing crew!
We’re a high-energy, establishment that serves up bold flavors, cold drinks, and good times. If you know your way around a grill, can work under pressure, and thrive in a team environment, we want to hear from you.
What We Offer:
• Competitive pay based on experience $14 – $25/hr DOQ

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook menu items in a timely and consistent manner
• Ensure quality, portion control, and presentation of food
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen
• Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
• Follow food safety regulations and kitchen procedures
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred (but willing to train the right person)
• Team player with a strong work ethic
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Prep Cook
The Steel Horse Bar & Grill is Wascott’s newest hot spot — a fast-growing, bar and grill known for great food, great vibes, and a rock-solid team. We’re looking for a dependable Prep Cook to help keep our kitchen running smoothly behind the scenes.
If you’re organized, efficient, and take pride in setting the stage for an outstanding meal, we want to meet you.
What You’ll Get:
• Competitive pay based on experience – $14-$17 DOQ
• Flexible part-time and full-time shifts

On-the-job training and development
Your Role:
• Prep ingredients for daily service (chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, sauces, etc.)
• Assist line cooks and kitchen staff as needed
• Follow food safety guidelines and proper kitchen procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas
• Work efficiently to keep up with the pace of service
Who You Are:
• Detail-oriented and reliable
• Able to follow directions and work as part of a team
• Comfortable working on your feet in a busy kitchen
• Previous kitchen/prep experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right person

Dishwasher
The Steel Horse Bar & Grill is Wascott’s newest, bar and grill — known for great food, strong drinks, and an even stronger team. We’re currently looking for a hardworking Dishwasher to keep things clean and moving behind the scenes.

Job Duties:
• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
• Keep dish and prep areas clean, organized, and safe
• Assist with trash, sweeping, and mopping as needed
• Support the kitchen team to keep things running smoothly
• Follow proper sanitation and safety procedures

• A reliable team player with a strong work ethic
• Someone who can work efficiently and stay on task
• No experience required — just a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Bartenders
Ready to work where the drinks are cold, the crowd is fun, and the energy is always up? The Steel Horse Bar & Grill is looking for experienced and outgoing Bartenders to join our team!
We’ve quickly become a local favorite, and we’re building a team that knows how to pour great drinks, deliver great service, and create a great time for every guest who walks through our doors.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Mixing and serving drinks with accuracy, speed, and style

• Handling cash and POS transactions accurately

• ID checking and ensuring responsible alcohol service
We’re Looking For:
• Bartending experience preferred
• Friendly, outgoing personality with great communication skills
• Dependable and team-oriented
• Able to multitask and stay cool under pressure
